How to get to Dalat city from Ho Chi Minh city.
Dalat city is about 300 kilometers away from Ho Chi Minh city, tourists can travel here both by road and airline.
Airline : There are direct flights from Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang, Ha Noi to Lien Khuong airport (Da Lat) provided by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air with ticket price from 900.000 to 1.600.000VND. From Lien Khuong airport, tourists will catch the airport bus (costs 50.000VND) or taxi (costs 300.000VND) to go to Dalat city.
Bus : Bus Phuong Trang, Thanh Buoi, Kim Travel… and some local bus companies have buses from Ho Chi Minh city to Dalat, costs from 200.000 to 230.000VND. You should choose night buses at 10-12P.M to have enough time to rest.
Motobike: This vehicle is mostly chosen by backpackers because it enabled them to conquer the passes themselves.
Da Lat has many motels and hotels to serve tourists, but if you come here on holidays you should make reservations so you will find no difficulty in renting room.
Renting price in areas that are far from the city central or Dalat market is much cheaper, however, most tourists choose to stay in central areato explore the night life in Dalat.
Sights that should not be miss
The art tunnel in the Tuyen Lam lake tourist site: This is an underground sculptural work of 1.2 km long, describing Dalat from the early days through a unique sculpture on basaltic soil. This tunnel is the latest tourist site in Dalat and has become very popular.
Xuan Huong Lake: Located in the heart of the romantic city, the crescent shaped lake is surrounded by pine trees. It is an ideal place for couples. The fare for a horse buggy trip around the lake is VND300,000 ($15) for four people.
Mount Langbiang: Climbing to the top of the mountain, you will be surprised by the beauty of the mountains, and the villages of K’Ho and Chu Ru people far away. Langbiang Mountain is located in Lac Duong District, 14 km from Da Lat city. The entrance fee is VND10,000 and the rent for a jeep up to the mountain peak is VND40,000 ($2) per person, VND240,000 ($12) for 6 persons.
